The Reunion Committee—Margie Humphreville O’Brien, Sharon Rinehart Jacobsen, Rose Marie Wales Bradshaw, Verna Ruttenbur Baker, George Hamblin, Sandy Johnson in for Dale, and Jim Lemieux, met at Jim and Pam Lemieux’s home to finalize plans for the coming PCHS Class of 1961 Reunion.  Pam graciously provided refreshments in their beautiful home featuring summer flowers!  Thanks, Sandy!

Carol Landsiedel Hunt and Margaret Hughley Tangin were visitors to this meeting.  Suzy Hamblin was also present and can be thanked for the great photos of the committee in action!  HooRAY!

Jim’s granddaughter will be taking the Class Photo and Jim’s wife, Pam, will be taking candid photos during the event.  A CD will be sent out of the collection of photos to each attending class member.  Those without the availability of a computer will be copied with hard copies.  Photos will be posted on the blog site for viewing.  A Class photo can be ordered separately by those not attending for the fee of $5.  HooRAY to the Lemieux Photo Ladies!

All events for the Reunion Celebration will be held at the Elks with the exception of the tours to our Alma Mater—Powell County High and the Rialto Theater.  Rose Marie has a Rialto Theater member who will be taking a tour through the theater.  She is additionally checking on a tour of the High School.  HooRAY to Rose Marie!

George will be securing easels to be used for all Class memorabilia—photos—letters!  Classmates are encouraged to bring their memorabilia to share!  HooRAY to George!

LeRoy and Delores Kemmesat and John and Kay Porter and Don and Georgia Briggeman will be joining the celebrating class for the Reunion festivities.  Mr. Kemmesat, Mr. Porter, and Mr. Briggeman are former teachers of the group.  Thirty-eight class members are signed-up to attend the Reunion!

It was another absolutely perf-e-c-t  day for a Parade! 

Jake--the 1987 Corvette--and Suzy and Sharon did the

Great Class of 1961 proud once again

as the Class of 1961 counts down to their 50th Class Reunion--

September 16 and 17th!

Suzy drove Jake--waved--and smiled her golden smile

and

Sharon tossed candy to the kids watching the parade

and perfected her royal wave as she dazzled

parade watchers with her million dollar smile!

The Reunion Committee—Margie Humphreville O’Brien, Sharon Rinehart Jacobsen, Rose Marie Wales Bradshaw, Verna Ruttenbur Baker, George Hamblin, Dale Johnson, Jim Lemieux, and Denny Almendinger met at the Elks to view the new facility, set up the menu, and finalize plans for the coming PCHS Class of 1961 Celebration Reunion. 

Dave Austin, Elks’ Exalted Ruler, cheerfully greeted the group and refreshments were served with the generosity of Dale Johnson.  HooRAY to Dale!

Gay Beck and Jim Copenhaver were visitors to this meeting and were very impressed with the exceptional planning by a very enthusiastic and dedicated group of Classmates!  Gay brought several items that will fit into the decoration part of the event.  The PCHS Class of 1961’s blog site has had over 3,600 hits since its inception last October!   WOW!!!  Thanks to those who have shared their memories and photos—George and Suzy, Sharon, Dale and Sandy, Phyllis, Sande and Al, Dan, Margie, Carol and Dick and everyone’s interest and comments to the blog site!  HooRAY!

The reunion committee--George Hamblin, Dale Johnson, Rose Marie Wales Bradshaw, Sharon Rinehart Jacobsen, Jerry Kennedy, and Margie Humphreville O'Brien met at Rose Marie's home to continue plans for PCHS Class of 61's Reunion!

  A letter to all classmates will be drafted by Sharon announcing the upcoming Reunion Celebration to be held on Friday and Saturday, September 16th and 17th and mailed after the Christmas mailing rush.

  It was decided former teachers and their wives will be personally invited to our celebration.

   George is working with the Elks in obtaining menu options and prices.

The next meeting will be:

     Monday, May 9th, 2011, at 1 pm at the Elks' Lodge. 

     This will give everyone any opportunity to look over the new facility

     and get a better idea on decorations.

WHAT:      PCHS CLASS OF 1961 GOLDEN CELEBRATION REUNION!

WHEN:     The celebration dates will be September 16th and 17th! 

WHERE:   The place will be the Elks Lodge in Deer Lodge!

WHO:       The attendees will be ALL OF YOU—GREAT CLASSMATES of ‘61!

The committee is considering the following tentative schedule:

       Registration—Social Mixer/No-Host—

       Hors d’oeuvres—Open House

·   SATURDAY—17th September:

       Breakfast Buffett—Group Tours—Golfing (?)

       No-Host Social Mixer—Remembrance—Group Photo—

       Dinner—“Open Microphone”—Farewells!

A letter giving you the Class of 1961’s Reunion information will be sent out to all Classmates soon.

  A list of “Missing Classmates” is getting smaller; however, we still need information on a few of our missing classmates—Earl Davis, Carol Frederick, Roberta Palin, and Terry Roragen. 

It would be great to know that we have found everyone!
